Surrogacy in India via Joy Surrogacy - About us!

Like many Joy Surrogacy clients, Victor and his wife Mary had always wanted children but ran into more obstacles that they were prepared for, particularly when it came to their desire to raise a newborn. Whether it was local or international adoption, they were always faced with the same problems: too much red tape, too expensive, or too much competition. Things became more dire when laws about international adoption tightened, all but excluding a couple of their ages. IVF treatments also proved fruitless and left the couple with disappointment and $45,000 in medical bills. For a time, they gave up hope of ever achieving their dream. Mary completed her doctorate, and Victor expanded his already successful businesses. But it was not long before that familiar longing returned, and a chance flip of the remote changed their lives.

Surrogacy, international or otherwise, had never occurred to Mary and Victor because they had spent so much time on adoption and medical procedures. Fortunately, an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show on international surrogacy opened their eyes to the possibility that they really could have a child of their own. After much research and struggling, the couple decided to go it on their own and work with India surrogacy, a choice that they are elated to have made, for they are now the proud parents of 3 beautiful children.

Surrogacy In India - India becomes go-to destination for surrogacy

CNN) - A remote corner has earned a reputation as the surrogacy capital of the world.
Infertile couples - and the women who give birth to their children - said it's a win-win, but critics complain about exploitation.
It's a long wait, nine months spent chatting, cooking, sewing, nurturing their swollen bellies.
"Just like you give a room out to rent, I give my womb on rent," Manjula said.
Surrogacy in India is booming, thanks to the low cost of the procedure, availability of surrogates and skilled doctors.

Surrogacy in India - Centre plan: Surrogacy for all; Women’s wing wants the term ‘couple’ redefined

New Delhi: The Union women and child development ministry has proposed that the health ministry allow surrogacy to everyone, including unmarried couples and those in live-in relationships.

In its comments on the proposed Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Bill, 2013, the ministry has opined that the health ministry’s definition of ‘couple’ is narrow. The WCD wants the definition of “couple to include everyone who wants to avail ARTs and surrogacy, irrespective of marriage”.

Contrary to the health ministry’s draft Bill — that says that no woman shall act as surrogate for more than three successful births including their own children — the women and child development ministry has proposed to extend the same provision to four births (live and still births), including her own children with not less than a two-year interval between two deliveries.

The WCD is also of the view that women above 21 years of age with conditions like height below 140 cm, women with low Body Mass Index (BMI) and with high-risk conditions like cardio-vascular diseases, thyroid problems should be excluded.

Adoption vs. Surrogacy Financial Costs

Jimmy Fallon is bursting at the seams over his baby girl, Winnie, who was born via a surrogate to him and his wife, Nancy Juvonen, in late July. And let's not forget about Giuliana and Bill Rancic's nearly 1-year-old, Duke, also born via a surrogate. From surrogates to adoption, there's a baby boom happening in Hollywood. Unfortunately, these routes aren't as easy for those who don't have that star paycheck to pay for it

Nancy Juvonen and Jimmy Fallon attend TIME 100 Gala, TIME'S 100 Most Influential People In The World at Jazz at Lincoln Center on April 23, 2013 in New York City.

While it seems like it might be an easy alternative, the reality, of course, is more complicated and expensive. Hopeful couples discover that adoption or gestational surrogacy costs from tens of thousands of dollars to more than $100,000. (And that's on top of the thousands of dollars many have already shelled out on fertility treatments, to say nothing about the emotional toll.)

Story of a Surrogate: the journey to parenthood - ABC South East SA - Australian Broadcasting Corporation

Reaching out
Last year, two hundred and sixty-nine babies were born to surrogate parents in Australia. This year, two hundred and fifty-four babies have been born through the process of surrogacy already.
It's a growing trend in Australia but is one that remains relatively uncommon.
Although commercial surrogacy is illegal in Australia, prospective parents have found their mothers-to-be online and via friends and family.
Others also seek help through the form of agencies such as Surrogacy Australia, which says it helps to support those planning on undertaking the process, sometimes finding prospective surrogate mothers abroad, in countries such as India and Thailand.

Surrogacy India - At Weecare surrogacy our Indian doctors are Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)

HYDERABAD: The burgeoning fertility industry of Hyderabad currently going through rapid growth is also trying to deal with its fair share of malpractice with many fertility clinics out to make a quick buck by duping vulnerable couples who are eager to become parents.
Several clinics in the city continue to perform various IVF and surrogacy procedures despite lacking the necessary infrastructure facilities and medical expertise, top officials said.
And efforts to regulate the industry are not proving to be very successful, officials said as clinics are unwilling to come under the scanner with only six out of 60 clinics registering itself with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) since January.
